As Christians, it is important for us to know how to respond to the finished works of Jesus Christ. The proper response does not require our works or our efforts to complete what He has already accomplished. God has declared that we are already healed, righteous, delivered, and redeemed; it is now up to us to accept those things by faith. When we truly believe this, we will not feel as if we must beg Him to do what He already did. Jesus۪ declaration that It is finished just before He died meant that He succeeded in doing everything He came to earth to do. Everything we need is now available to us. We are free to simply receive from our heavenly Father.
