In these last days, we are seeing strife in the world to a degree we have never seen before. This emotion comes straight from Satan; he holds in captivity those who operate in anger and strife. It is easy to see all around us the results of jealousy, envy, and a number of other negative, harmful emotions. This divides people and opens the door to confusion and evil, but it is not God’s will for us. The causes of strife include ridicule, hatred, gossip, selfishness, and pride; whatever their origin, they can put us in strife with each other. We must actively resist them when we feel them trying to control our emotions. When we do so, we can operate in love and avoid the traps the enemy sets for us.
