We have all done things in the past that we regretted. We may have made a bad decision, a poor choice, or said or did something that hurt someone. Regret can be defined as sorrow or remorse accompanied by a sense of loss. It camps out in our minds, and hinders our relationship with Christ. It robs us of the joy in life, and causes us to condemn ourselves and focus on our past, instead of on what Jesus is doing in our present and what He wants to do in our future. This condemnation comes straight from Satan, our enemy and accuser. We overcome regret by focusing on Jesus and on what His blood accomplished for us; this enables us to move forward into the future He wants us to experience.
