Grace is a gift we as believers receive from God without having to earn it. It is God’s way of loving us and showing us mercy and undeserved favor, simply because we trust in Him and receive Jesus Christ. The key to receiving this unmerited grace is believing in His unconditional, unrestricted love for us. A relationship with God gives us access to the kind of grace that fights for us, protects us, and refuses to let us walk away from Him. Grace has made provisions for everything we need; this includes our salvation, our healing, our redemption, and our righteousness. When we internalize our faith in God’s love for us—instead of in our own actions—things we cannot take credit for begin happening. Genuine belief in this gives us rest from worry, anxiety, and our own strivings.
