We live in a fearful environment, but also one that does not know God. This is no coincidence. Most people let fear dominate them and rule their lives; this is not God’s will. The solution to being afraid is God’s perfect love; having faith that He loves us gives us authority over fear. God has made a number of promises to us in love; the spirit of fear contradicts those promises with the intent of getting us to doubt them. Thankfully, God’s love is stronger than the fear that Satan sends our way; trusting in this love frees us from fear. Knowing the truth about this profoundly affects the quality of our lives.
