We live in a time in which there is a crisis of character. As believers, we must mature in this area if we are to stand out as different than everyone else. Our character can either hold us back or allow us to rise above; to succeed, we must deal with any flaws we may have in this area. The excellence of a Christian is reflected in his character; having a godly, morally upright character means doing the right thing simply because it is the right thing to do, regardless of others’ opinions. The enemy knows how important good morals are to our success, and therefore does all he can to corrupt them. However, letting God’s love be the foundation for how we treat others derails the devil’s efforts. Letting the Holy Spirit work in us will surely result in fruit that is pleasing to God.
