On our Christian walk, our emotional maturity determines our success or failure in everything we do. As Christians, we must learn not only on the spiritual level, but also how to deal with our feelings. Maturing emotionally is an ongoing process for us to reach successful solutions to problems. One of the ways we mature is learning how to be flexible in adverse situations; this allows us to yield to God and allow Him to bring about the transformation He wants. Flexibility and adaptability are essential qualities we need when ministering to others and spreading God’s Word. Change is a part of life; a willingness to embrace it enables God to work through us to reach others. The high level of emotional maturity He needs from us empowers us to successfully handle even the ugly parts of life without allowing them to negatively impact our emotions.
