We have all experienced times when we felt discouraged and tempted to quit. However, when we feel this type of pressure, we may be closer to breakthrough than at any other point. Discouragement is a trick by the enemy, and we must not be overwhelmed by it. Everyone who tries to serve God will encounter frequent opposition, and disappointment that can become so severe that the temptation to quit seems like the easiest option at the time. Life has its share of frustrations, but quitting is not God’s will for us. God uses trouble to mature and train us, so that we come out stronger and more fit to serve His kingdom. We grow as Christians when we push through the situation and endure, the way Christ encourages us to.
